Integrate wallets, bots and front-ends across 200+ perps markets and earn fees on every trade.

The Problem

Decentralised trading apps delight users with self-custody but struggle to fund development. Traditional affiliate links rely on off-chain trackers and flaky payouts. Builders need revenue that is native, transparent and automatic.

The Fix: Builder Codes

Think of Builder Codes as on-chain affiliate tags.

These "tags" can be used to monetize on-chain order flow by providing users access to perp markets natively in your app.

Add a Builder Code to any dYdX order and earn fees whenever your users' orders get filled.

A Builder Code is simply two extra fields—builder_address and fee_ppm—embedded in any dYdX order. When that order fills, the protocol streams your share of the taker fee straight to the address you supplied. No whitelists, dashboards or monthly settlements: the split is enforced at consensus.

message BuilderCodeParameters

string builder_address = 1; // where fees land

uint32 fee_ppm = 2; // parts-per-million, max 10 000 (1%)

Attach the object, broadcast the order, and you’re in business.

Why it Matters

Builder Codes signify a transformation in how DEX reward ecosystem participants, offering developers a native method to earn from order flow.

  • ❇️ Instant access to 200+ perp markets

  • ❇️ Trustless, on-chain payouts in real time

  • ❇️ Scales with your volume—no rev-share negotiations

  • ❇️ Transparent explorer + indexer endpoints to track every fill

All activity is queryable via the public indexer (/orders, /fills), so you can track exactly how much each integration earns.

Where it Fits

The flexibility of Builder Codes supports a broad range on integrations and use cases:

  1. 🖥 Trading terminals

  2. 📱 Mobile wallets

  3. 🤖 Telegram bots

  4. 🌐 Local-language front-ends

Crypto.com Integrates dYdX Perps

Crypto.com embedded Builder Codes in its On-chain App. Users stay inside their familiar mobile UI, orders are routed and settle directly on-chain on dYdX, and Crypto.com collects fees transparently.

This approach allows Crypto.com to maintain complete control over its mobile user interface while leveraging dYdX's high-performance infrastructure and fee attribution model.

The Bigger Picture

Builder Codes shift economics away from centralised affiliates to open, on-chain attribution. As on-chain volumes grow, that tiny fee percentage compounds—giving builders a sustainable, protocol-aligned business model.
